ENDLESS LOVE duet by LIONEL RICHIE & DIANA ROSS

Lagu yang diciptakan sendiri oleh Lionel Richie ini, dijadikan lagu tema untuk sebuah film dengan judul yang sama, ENDLESS LOVE, yang dibintangi oleh Broke Shields dan Martin Hewitt tahun 1981. Tapi, berbanding terbalik dengan lagunya yang sukses di puncak tangga Billboard Hot 100 Number One Single selama 9 pekan, mulai 15 Agustus sampai dengan 10 Oktober 1981. Film drama romantis besutan sutradara Franco Zeffirelli ini justru mengalami nasib yang kurang beruntung.

Endless Love juga dinominasikan untuk kategori "Best Original Song", dalam Academy Award.

Di era '80an, Endless Love menjadi lagu yang paling sering diperdengarkan di acara-acara pernikahan.

Pada 1994 bulan Agustus, duet Luther Vandross dan Mariah Carey, meluncurkan single Endless Love. Pada ajang Grammy 1995, lagu ini juga dinominasikan untuk kategori "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals", namun kalah dari single "Funny How Time Slips Away" duet Al Green dan Lyle Lovett.

Endless Love sudah banyak dinyanyikan oleh beberapa penyanyi, salah satunya Kenny Rogers dalam album Vote For Love tahun 1996.
